Help on creating a simple shape...

Hi everyone,

Im trying to see if I can model the following shape in ZBrush:

So far, I have tried a QCube 3x3x1, deleted the corners, then bridged the corners to get the rounded edges:

Masking and shaping the above result is giving me issues. I am losing control of the overall shape.

Any suggestions on how I can achieve the above result? I guess I can mask out the shape and extract it. Any ideas using Zmodeler?

Thanks in advance!

Using just a box, get the overall diamond shape you want first, then bevel the edges.

I was able to make the shape ok out of a cube, but beveling the edges does not seem to work (Bevel EdgeLoop Partial):

I am assuming this is the case because ZBrush prevents the creation of NGons?Screenshot 2017-09-19 13.36.42.png

Sorry, I forgot the ZModeler brush has very strange bevels. I think you are correct. It behaves in an odd way as to not make n-gons. Below is a video to how I did it really quick. I used creased edges and turned off smoothing when subdividing, divided a few times, then turned smoothing back on. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the help!
