Hi everyone. I’ve been trying to teach myself ZBrush 4R8 for the last few weeks in my downtime at work, since my employer downloaded it for use in the future with our furniture renderings. Before this, I have never tried any 3D software, and I have admittedly felt very overwhelmed and unsure for much of the process. I can’t seem to figure out the best workflow or techniques to use to sculpt convincing furniture. We will also do a lot of details that will be printed on a 3D printer. I wish I could show you examples of what kind of things I need help with specifically, however contract forbids me from showing real designs.
The best I can do is to ask for broad help with what might be the correct process, or at least a good starting point, for furniture modeling in ZBrush 4R8, and any and all videos, tutorials, or articles written about help with that. I’d be making whole pieces of furniture and details of different things here and there. Wood, metal, glass, plastic, etc - organic, and hard surfaces.
Recently I was trying to make something very similar to a Rococo headboard for a bed. If you Google that it will give you a good idea about what I was trying to do in one specific instance.
Any help at all will be appreciated greatly. I am pretty much a total beginner so any amount of “dumbed down” you can make your answer will be appreciated as well. Better to make it painfully childish than for me to never be able to decipher the lingo, haha.
