I am terrible at making hair, even cartoonish hair. Can someone give me some pointers? I spend hours and get nowhere.
I’m trying to do a pixie hair cut. I have this reference image:
Which I then simplified to the following, which my favorite style for cartoony hair, more manga-esque I guess:
I don’t get good results though. I don’t know how to handle the hair part or anything really. Those clumps that go under others I just tuck in badly because layering them properly results in a weird look.
The top view is the worst, looks like a volleyball. How should I do that part where the back hair meets the one going to the sides. If I tuck it under, I have to raise the side hair which distorts the front and side views.
