Thorgest – Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Working on Thorgest was a long and rewarding journey of research, refinement, and iteration. As a Character Artist, I was involved in almost every aspect of his in-game creation — from anatomy tweaks and refinement, to the upper body costume design, as well as texturing and grooming.

This character was a deep dive into both technical detail and emotional storytelling, and it was especially satisfying to see how fans connected with him and how much affection he received after release.
I’ve included a couple of in-game variations in the breakdown as well — like the bloodied face and the shawl outfit version — both of which I worked on.
I also took care of his integration into Unreal Engine 5, focusing on material tuning and in-engine visual polish
This was a passion project through and through, and one I’m proud to have been part of.
All renders are real-time in Unreal Engine 5 and represent the final in-game assets as they appear in the shipped game.
