Head to Body?

What’s the best way to “model”, “stitch” or weld a head mesh to a body mesh, when both topologies are deviating from each other?

I do need for the head a higher resolution mesh.
The vertex count, the faces from both meshes are not matching.

I wonder how to get this job done in Zbrush.

Any ideas, recommendations, tips & tricks?

Thanks a bunch!

To fuse two separate meshes that do not have open borders with identical points that align perfectly , you can:

  1. Merge the meshes into the same subtool and use Dynamesh. This will resurface (change the topology) of the entire resulting mesh.

  1. Use Live Boolean. This will only create new geometry as necessary where the meshes intersect. It also has the benefit of leaving your original meshes intact, whereas Dynamesh will overwrite them.
