You should check out working directly on the mesh in mesh mode, and using the ‘Move’ command and a small brush…That way you could for instance, move the line between her lips to give a sharper definition, as well as pulling eyelids out, etc…Once you get used to it, it’s a lot easier than trying to draw some things…
