Having trouble importing model and exporting displacement map

EDIT: So I was able to export the displacement map but for some reason its also baking in the model edges.

Also when I open the .tif file in Photoshop, the background grey is at 58% (not 50%)

Open up your displacement map in a 16bit gray scale document. 8bit RGB thinks 58 is the middle.
