Having problem with hands and dynamesh

Hello guys! I am trying to make a character, so I am in the last part until I convert the mesh with zremesher. I just want to merge the hands and the body but when I do it. The hands unite and I don’t know how to maintain the separation between them

I was doing dynamesh to merge them, but this is the result

Hello @SantiagoSrz

There is a practical limit to how much fine detail Dynamesh can capture. It’s intended to be used as a tool to quickly block out form at low-to medium levels of detail. However, if that form involves fine features that are too close together, it will limit Dynamesh’s effectiveness much more quickly.

If increasing the resolution slider in Dynamesh is no longer sufficient to preserve the detail you want, and you are unable to spread out the digits into a more neutral, spaced out stance, it’s time to transition to a traditional multiple subdivision level process.

Instead, subdivide your mesh and use the “Freeze Subdivision Levels” command. This will drop your mesh to the lowest available level of subdivision, which you can then use ZRemesher on. This process will be slower than Dynamesh, but ZRemesher never fuses geometry like Dynamesh. If the digits are separate, it will remesh them separately. Then you can unfreeze the Subdivision levels, and it will restore those subdivision levels and reproject the fine detail from the previous mesh onto them.

In the future, you can extend Dynamesh’s effectiveness by creating your figure in a completely neutral, open stance. Space the fingers farther apart so Dynamesh has more space to work with.

Hi Spyndel! Thanks so much for the reply. It was my first topic so i didn’t know what to expect but I appreciate it. I fix the problem with Zmodeler by deleting and closing holes but it didn’t get so well lol. I will add the feedback you give me for the next model.

Here is my Zumo weird model lol, but I keep learning. Thanks so much, Spyndel, have a great day!
