Have to press hotkey twice to get out of transpose

hi,

everytime i use transpose, and i press my hotkey to switch to a different brush it always takes 2 presses for it to switch.

example

  1. use transpose
  2. decide to switch to clay brush (alt+c), it doesnt switch, instead it activates the transpose brush
  3. press my brush hotkey again to completely switch.

its been like this for years, wondering if we can get a fix or something
