BTW what is this all about, not many celeberate it here in India ???
Eat the bird!!!
wcked, need to go back to rehab?
edit: what about:
couple of hundred years ago, they threw a bunch of bums out
of England. They grabed the first tramp steamer and landed in the
United States ( Plymouth Rock).
Having no money and since welfare had not been established they
bummed food off some innocent Indians. ( Later drove the Indians
away after getting them drunk)
Their stolen food consisted of Turkey.
So we celebrate this event every year by eating stuff we normally
shun the rest of the year.
If the bums had landed last year, we would be heading to McDonalds or
calling for a pizza.
Edit: How many people ate turkey with cranberry sauce and mince pie
last August?
Here we go:

But of course, the real story is one of religious extremists thrown out of the UK… And guns…

Yep, we Americans sure do like to cover up our dark seedy past with holidays about acts of Freedom, Unity and Bravery, just like we cover up our wars as acts of Liberation when all they really are is cleaning up our once shady unknown allies created during Bush Senior’s CIA reign.
Let’s not slide to far into doom and gloom. At the end, it’s also about people coming together and celebrate. I just came back from the park with the dogs, it’s 4C and raining hard. I’m now sitting here, listening to the wife getting the massive turkey ready downstaris, and I am having a hot cup of jasmin tea steaming in front of me while writing emails to friends. A good day! Till 4pm… dog and park time again brrrrrrrrrrrr.

The bad seeds of history can grow Beautiful flowers if the garden is tended right
Hm thanking to god after harvest
In India it is celeberated in feb - and Sikhs and Punjabis celeberate it as a new year called as “Baisakhi”
They party and dance that time in the villages- famous as the “bhanghra dance”
I think even you people should start partying and dancing this day, start a new trend …
THAT is such a nice phrase! I will remember that.

To be serious for a minisecond, for a multitude of reasons, this
is perhaps the best holiday I have ever had.
Hope some ,if not all of you, can say the same, even without
a cup of jasmine tea!
Yum. Almost time for food. Happy Thanksgiving. Although the Turkeys could revolt some day.
Thanksgiving is about celebrating the good things in our lives and sharing with those who have less. Nothing more, nothing less.
Thanks again Lemo
A stray cat has been sitting on my porch all day. My girlfriend told me it was the nieghbors. They move and just left the cat behind. I let the poor thing in and feed it left over turkey. Now it is sitting on my lap purring like crazy.
I think I’ll name her TURKEY:D

For the cat
For the neighbors that left it.
To you for “adopting”
