Group naming

Hi was just wondering (maybe i just didnt see it in the forums) but
how do you rename groups inside of Zbrush?
ie: when a OBJ is exported to another App which has groups from Zbrush,the groups are called Group 293388,group3445 ect in all other 3D Apps.
so is there a way to name them inside of zbrush like arm,hand,head, ect before exporting them?

nope, no naming, just colors

ZBrush will preserve group names though, provided you don’t alter the groups in any way. So if you define your groups in another app then import into ZBrush, there’ll still be there when you export back out (as an OBJ).

Thanks for the answers, Im playing with it at school :smiley: and was trying to get the obj (figure) with the groups (arms,legs,ect) out of Zbrush and into Maya to see if I could rename the groups there …but Maya is telling me.

OBJ file contains faces shared by multiple groups
Maya cannot create multiple objects for this file.
A single mesh object will be created instead.
The Object group information will be captured in Maya sets ?

So just thought their was a way to rename in Zbrush.(but i see there isnt)

never mind, I found it (the groups)in the outliner can rename there :lol:
