Hey there,
I am creating new loops at the border edge between two polygroups (under EdgeLoop / GroupsLoops) entering 3 loops. This produces new loops and a smoother edge, which I want. However it also produces new polygroups, which are placed inbetween my existing polygroups, which I don’t want. Is there a way to perform the GroupsLoops operation without producing new polygroups?
I hope someone knows and can help!
I don’t think you can stop that behaviour. But it’s easy to fix:
- Shift+Ctrl+Click on one of your main polygroups. This will hide everything else.
- Press Tool>Visibility>Grow. This will expand the selection to include a loop.
- Repeat (2) for the other loops you want to include in this polygroup.
- Press Tool>Polygroups>Group Visible.
Now Shift+Ctrl+Click the background to show the whole model and then repeat the above for the other main polygroups.
Yes! Thanks, this was a quick and easy solution just how I like it.
