Graphic issue in ZB for Linux installation

OK, recently I installed a copy of ZB2018 on my Linux Mint Cinnamon run laptop using Playonlinux. I manage to get everything installed properly despite my poor knowledge of Linux and Wine but when I run ZB I can’t do anything in the main workspace because of the weirdness you can see in the attached image.

My laptop has the bog standard video card but this shouldn’t be the issue. I know that something like this happened in the past (either to me or someone else) but I don’t remember the solution. It could be tricky because it is running through Wine but it would be great if I could get it to work.

It was difficult getting even the screenshot because every time I pressed the print screen button, the lightbox panel would pop up.

Anyway, I would really appreciate any help because I don’t know how long it will be until I get back to using a Windows OS again.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Paul :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve really no idea but you might try the settings in Preferences>Performance, such as turning off MultiDraw. (You can probably get Lightbox to stop popping up by turning off the Preferences>Lightbox>Open At Launch button and storing the configuration.)

Hi Marcus,

The multithread option was actually already off in my settings and, for some reason, it refuses to switch on.

Yeah, and in regards to the Lightbox option, the problem was actually that the Lightbox window would turn on and off every time I pressed the Print Screen button. Even after I changed the hotkey - same thing.

Thanks, anyway.

I am sure that I saw or had this issue many years ago and the solution is simple.

It’s just frustrating in trying to find the solution to the issue and missing out on the actual work I could be doing in the meantime.

Thanks again.

Cheers,
Paul :stuck_out_tongue:
