This looks way too cool to be true…
http://www.gpx2.co.uk/
I saw an article on slashdot for this, looks verry versitle…
has dual processor, and a nice ammount of ram (for a handeld).

all the pre-installed software is open source so you can totaly customize it.

the development team seems willing to help out small time game developers also…

well it is basicaly a small linux system, so you can pretty much do anything Linux can do… like watch DVD’s, listen to Mp3’s, emulate old computers. (woot! I finaly get to play my comodore 64 game on a handheld)

looks like it shipps with quake and a few other games…from the Videos it looks like a full color screen on the newest model…

I hope they ship to america!! wonder how many dollars £124.99.
is?

I am going to get one :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1: this looks verry cool! if wine or cedega works I may be able to play some of my Pc games… wonder if we can get more than 64 megs of ram

It does not say how big storage it has… to be interesting it has got to have at least 20 gb…

PSP looks way better then this thing btw, though im not buying anymore gadgets

well with the sony model you need special media to play movies… some special mini disk format…sold seperately… in a format only the psp can read.

with GPX2 you can save to some type of sdram media.

they are claiming to be able to re-play DVD movies without de-codeing…

plus it is basicaly a linux box… so whatever elsy you can download from your PC is somewhat possible…

with the sony system you are stuck with only the media thay sell you at a verry high price.

the other plays some media you already own!

i am totaly sold…
this gizmo realy looks cool!

BTW i should not buy any more gadgets either…

The Wikipedia has some more specs…

i was wrong, it has 256 megs not 64…

they have a USA distributor listed also…

looks cool 8)
