GoZ Daz Studio 4.12 + Zbrush 2019 (Mac)

I finally upgraded from Daz Studio 4.9 to 4.12 (didn’t have any reason to).

Daz GoZ has always worked flawlessly up til now.

Note: I installed DS 4.12 on a different partition (not the boot drive that has Zbrush on it).

GoZ from DS to Zbrush works fine…

However, I can’t send my models back to DS from Zbrush:

I’m running Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Cap.
Any ideas?

EDIT: Apparently it’s not just me:

… but it definitely looks like a Daz problem.

EDIT: I was able to get GoZ to work properly with 4.12 by replacing the contents of /Users/Shared/Pixologic/GoZApps/DAZStudio64/ with an old version (from 2015).

Hi @Thor!

Sorry you’re having some trouble with this.

GoZ for Daz Studio is actually supported by Daz3d as a 3rd party developer. You should report issues with GoZ for DAZ to them, as well check with them for version compatibility information.

Good luck!

I discovered this solution too. Now every time I install a new version of ZBrush, I immediately replace the new GoZ folder with the old one.

PROBLEM : when you install GoZ for DAZ Studio, you have File-> Send to ZBrush in DAZ menus, + GoZ that sends the mesh back as a morph from ZBrush.

BUT when one cleanly uninstalls ZBrush, this specific folder : C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZApps\DAZStudio64 is removed.

When re-installing ZBrush, all the GoZ plugins for Photoshop, C4D, Maya, etc are installed by the Pixologic installer but not GoZ for DAZ3D. Damn…

SOLUTION for the GoZ bridge to work (if you cleanly removed ZBrush and re-installed it) :

  • Use DAZ Install Manager to remove “Goz for DAZ Studio 4.12+ (Win 64-bit)”

  • Use DAZ Install Manager to install again “Goz for DAZ Studio 4.12+ (Win 64-bit)”

  • Doing so will re-create the missing folder C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZApps\DAZStudio64 and its content, necessary for ZBrush to make a proper bridge.

Is it possible for u to sent me the old Version?
Thanx
