GoZ "Cannot find path to ZBrush application."

Whenever I try to export to ZBrush from Maya from a fresh boot of Maya, and no currently running session of ZBrush, I get the error:

“Sorry, cannot launch ZBrush.
Cannot find path to ZBrush application.”

This happens when the GoZ scripts from Maya call:
C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZBrush\GoZBrushFromApp.exe

I have looked through all of the config files in GoZ and ZBrush, as well as registry data, but cannot find where the “path to ZBrush application” is meant to be configured. Where is the GoZBrushFromApp.exe looking to try to determine the zbrush.exe app location? (I currently have ZBrush installed to it’s default location).

Thanks,
–Ben

I am having the same issue with Max 2012. Is there anyone out there that knows how to fix this issue? I had to manually install the GoZ application to 3D Max if that helps.

i know this is old, maybe you solved it. but in any case.
i’m thinking it is the “public” directory in the path that might be messing you up? maybe it should be a user’s name.

if you are user john and you installed zbrush as that user, then the path should be C:\Users\john\Pixologic\GoZBrush\GoZBrushFromApp .exe

perhaps this is causing a permission conflict or something.

this is just a guess though.
