Goz and back to 3ds max Deletes Scene

Hi, I recently was using Goz on a windows 7 machine with 3ds max 2012 and zbrush 4 r2 - and it seems (double checked with multiple scenes) that when I go back from zbrush, it eats everything that was in the scene. The worst part? It doesn’t even ask you to save before swapping the scene in max. Luckily I save like a maniac! Any ideas?
