Hi Elery
On your site
Your frogs are amazing
Pilou An eater frogs repentant
No I am joking, I am vetetalian !

Thanks Frenchy,

That brings up a question…

The frogs were done in Animation Master using a lighting rig called “skylights.” Basiclly it is a way to fake radiosity by placing 100’s of low intensity sun lights in a geometric dome around your model. You can read about sky lights here.

I have been trying to find a way to do this in Z-brush. The problem is that you only have 8 lights to work with.

I know you can set up Global Diffuse lighting. The problem with GDL is it doesn’t cast shadows. Low intensity shadows being cast from 100’s of different angles is what makes skylights work.

Can anyone think of a way to make a skylight rig in Z-brush?

Thanks,

Shaun
