I have made a new typology and detailed the poor fellow.
The next step would be to make it more anatomicly correct, and later texture it

hey there really cool but that ear looks plain wrong, too high i think, check out the gorrilla matcap
Thanks for the tips. I wasnt aware of the gorilla matcap I think it will become very handy when i texture it.
I have lowered the ears, but since its a minor detail i wont upload the updated version
For some reason, the final rendering is way darker then the preview. Can anybody help with this?

Thank you for the picture, Carsten It helped me a lot with the anatomy
I fixed the nasty grin, and some anatomy. I also rendered from a better angle
I fixed the colour of his eyes. Gorillas do not have white eyes, but brown
And now, its time for some heavy photoshop editing
Some hair. Its not finished though. I dont think I’ve ever worked this hard on a picture!
