google goggles texture trick

So I figured out a little trick when collecting textures. If your like me you probably walk around taking the most random pictures of texture to keep in your library for use in zbrush and other 3d software. I’m sure you’ve also noticed that on any given object there is only 1 or 2 places you can take a nice clean texture pic with no aberrations that will look too repetitive. If you take the picture with Google goggles and it can’t find anything that it recognizes it will default to an image search for similar pictures and give you an array of 8 or so pics that match the tone and texture of the one you just snapped. Instant texture library expansion.
