I see what you are saying, Fouad. hmmmm I don’t have the answer to why those two excellant images weren’t released on this forum other than he is apparently a very busy person as he says on his website. I am not sure if that image was created with the beta or not. Either way it is a masterpiece. But like you it would be nice to see some more Beta images released here by the testers for sure. :+1: :+1: :+1:

It might be he is following the rules.
If this is generally speaking a photgraph, or based on a photo ( he mentions photoshop)then he could not in good conscience post here.
If I am wrong tell me, because the quality of my work,as it appears here, will dramatically increase.

Rtyer, he is probably using photoshop to do post work touchups. That is a normal process, even for the artists of this forum. Marcel I believe uses PS enhancements as do others. Just for tweaking and cleaning up an image alot of times. And yes, you are coming along nicely. You have the drive and determination to hit your artistic goals I believe.

The work being shown at the site suggested is a 2d image.
Let us suppose I take a photograph ( head shot) bring it into photoshop(or an equal program or Painter for that matter).
I crop the head, leave the features and import it into zbrush, add texture, objects, hair maybe, sent it back to photoshop, more details, clone eyes, hair wisps etc.
It is a hell of lot easier to make hair in photoshop than zbrush.Skin is easier also because of the cloning features of Photoshop
Would the finished work be considered a zbrush product and can I in good conscience display it here.
I have Adobe Photoshop 7 and Cs ( new one).
They are the best programs I have.
You can manipulate images until you no longer recognize the source.
I was a photographer before any of this.
I have been working under the assumption that the items I see here with one or two exceptions were created basically in zbrush.
Am I wrong?

you might be right… I know I can’t do hair like that at the moment…unless there is some kewl unknown technique to it and a fancy alpha I havent seen. Aurick may be better equipped for a tech question like that. But if you look at Adman’s work here. He did an awesome self portrait like the ones we are talkign about using a way older version of Z…(one of the images that brought me to this program and forum along with his Angelina Jolie caricature) so anything is possible. I am not versed enough to discern a total photoshop doctored image versus a post worked and slightly tweaked image as I spoke of earlier. On this forum the best advice from what I have seen over the past two years is if you post a hybrid image or have used other programs along with z for rendering etc, its always best to be forthcoming with that information as to not get the community in an uproar. But when posting in the main forum at zbc, the bulk of the image should be created with zbrush from my understanding of the forum rules.

Which might explain why you see images elsewhere and not here.
No suspicous motives, just playing by the rules.

Hi Fouad
I beleive that you have little paranoiac delirium
marcel makes this sort of painting for a long time
I don’t see difference
beta testor ? i don’t think so
just a good use of the present version
and a furious use of ps brushes (2 weeks he said)
Pilou

oh didnt think that this link make such noise
i think he posted the picture in cgtalk because its a hybrid(not only 1 software)(like the most pictures here) and only the head is made in zbrush - all other PS
although this forum is one of the best  there are more people in cgtalk … and it is new there so also he will be post it here but we were faster

oha there it goes…

Pilou you do not know what you speak.
would be nice to avoid affirming certain things without the known.
This guy is beta tester which you would be ok or not.
I known a painted image and a model 3d.
the paranoya is not a field only I maitrise as well as you. thx.

The man is not only a talented artist, but also
a skillful technician.
Regarding the hybrid type of his artwrok, I bet
he would use only Zbrush if he found all the
tools he needed. Zbrush is my favorite prog.
and it will be for years to come, though I miss
some more 2d tools and more detailed layer
capabilities.
