Goblin Shaman

Hi All,

Just finished my second project in ZB and thought I would share it, comments welcome.

Goblin, arms and staff in ZB, started out as just a bust, so keeping all the parts right in relation to each other was a pain.

Hooded coat modeled in Hexagon, all detailing in ZB and rendered in Carrara pro.
Thanks

These are all the separate parts.

Great start to your zb work, dont worry about the lack of comments yet!As you refine the crits will come:-)Bye cal

Thanks Cal,

It can be quite scary showing my hobbiest work here, so no news is good news
Thanks for the encouragement.

You can’t see much of your work with your lighting. I trie to bring out most of the details with the lighting and not go for atmospheric lighting quite yet.

Thanks womball, I’ll keep that in mind, I’m also trying to learn Carrara at the same time, not quite used to the lighting yet.
But I am guilty of being bias towards dark lighting.

I’ve adjusted the lighting abit for anyone who wanted to see more detail. I’ve also noticed that pics on my laptop are darker than on my main pc, so it wasnt as dark for me

He looks much better in the new lighting, really looks great.Cal

Thanks for the advice, it helps alot
Nice work btw, Both of you

Thanks
Doom.

great start, however i think there are mainly two areas to improve, the facial expression could be more convincing (chin is coming out quite far) and the shaders/lighing are pretty boring (maybe some more specular on the skin? rim light etc).

Hi Erklaerbar, thanks for the advice, I agree about the skin highlight, but everytime I added alittle more specular to bring out the detail, the skin looked to shiny and wet. So I gave up in the end

As for the chin, that is intentional, my work is inspired by the art of Warhammer, as seen in this pic by Adrian Smith.
