Gizmo Transforms of a group with only one subtool visible - is it possible?

I Have been using Gizmo and the "transpose all selected’ option. The Hashing effect works/selection to have some visible but not get transposed is working well.

However I am trying to line up some scans, even with the hashing it can be hard to really see how things are lining up.

Is there a way to transform a group of subtools while some are not visible? But they all get transformed. If I could only see the skull and edit based on how that is lining up to a reference tool, but know the rest of the tools are being transformed, that would be great.

Perhaps there is a trick or clever method?

Thanks!

Hello @Eyetoof

The Transpose All function should work with the Transparency function. You can enable the Transparency function on the edge of the default viewport or also in the Transform menu. This will reduce the visibility of the inactive subtools allowing you to see through them, but they will still be affected by the Transpose All function as long as their visibility icon in the Subtool Palette is switched on.

You can further reduce their level of transparency in the Preferences> Draw menu, by adjusting the Trans Depth, and the Front and Back Opacity sliders.

Good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:
