Hello, new user here. I was using the taper deformation tool which I accessed by clicking the gear icon on the gizmo. All worked out except now I don’t know how to get back to the standard gizmo. Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you 
When you use any of the deformers, look for a semi-transparent gear icon. You can click this to open the menu which will let you accept the result and return to the standard gizmo.
