Getting straight lines?

Hello everyone.

I recently started working with ZModeler in order to get clean and exact toplogy for my hard surface sculpts.

I would love to know if there is a way to straighten my edgeloops so that they are aligned to my Z and Y axis? As of now I have to move and slide points and edges by hand, one at a time to get my edgeloops somewhat straight by measuring them against the white rectangle that frames the work area.
There has got to be a better and more exact way, right?

I’m enclosing two screenshots that highlight what I’m talking about.

Thank you for your time!

Hello @andras!

What I do is face the mesh at the camera, or along whatever axis gets you the cleanest angle, and draw a masking lasso/marquee around the target loop. Then I invert the mask by ctrl-clikcing on empty canvas. Now everything should be masked except for that loop. I then use the ClipCurv brush to flatten the loop along the desired axis.

Sometimes, Edge > Mask > Edge Loop can quickly mask a tricky edge loop.

Wow, thank you SPYNDEL! This works so well!
