Genuine Fractals 5

In one of Alex Alvarez’s tutorials ( “Smiler”) he uses and mentions a Photoshop
Plug in called Genuine Fractals 5. It costs about two hundred dollars
It’s purpose is to scale an image (photo, texture)toward basically poster size.
Has anybody else used it?
Any opinions?
Thank you in advance.

I believe that’s the one Meats Meier raves about in one of his threads…might be the robot one where he let us have a copy of the document to play with or another thread he…ohhhhhh look for the one in which he used Jantim’s painted rust material for the picture…i think he talks about it in that one…I’d look but no time right this minute.

Thank you, aminuts.
Happy New Year ( a little late, deadline)
They have a demo which I am working on now.
Very trusting, their watermark is such that with a clone brush…
Works great so far.
Alvarez says they use it at Gnomon for Siggraph displayes.

Blow Up from Aline Skin is far superior. Has better characteristics and maintains straight lines better with contrast. Less mush more detail. And of course… the name is way cooler!

Lemo (owning and loving it for it’s qualities!)

“L” 50 buck difference in px, what makes it better?
(downloading demo regardless)
Belated Happy New Year to you also!!!
