Gentle Giant Studios in Burbank, California is seeking Digital Sculptors/ Modelers with ZBrush experience. Gentle Giant provides models for film, television, and game applications. We are a full service sculpture studio, scanning facility, and modeling for visual effects house. Applicants should be well versed in ZBrush, Photoshop, and Maya. Applicants must display a solid understanding of human anatomy and form as well as attaining a likeness in digital media. Previous experience with traditional sculpture a plus but not required.

Duties will include generating Digital Maquettes for concept design in ZBrush, modeling base meshes from existing concept art and/or scan data in Maya and ZBrush, remeshing in Paraform and/or Cyslice, UV mapping and texture painting.

Gentle Giant is a unique company in that we are focused entirely on sculpture both physical and digital. Applicants can expect to work on a variety of projects ranging from modeling for visual effects to sculpting figures for output, to Next Gen gaming mesh and texture map generation.

Have to mention congratulations.

Not too long ago, nice member went out of his
way to write tutorials about Maya Displacement mappings.
During this period half the forum couldn’t spell displacement.
Same member spent lots of time with the “slower kids” to
make sure they got it right
Tutorials were of commercial quality.
It is great to see the same name attached to posts of this
nature.
Told my better half at that time, “you will see him again”
Should have bet her.
