game dev. need help modellers, texturers, animators.

Hello guys (girls possibly).

We need people who know the art of animation (skin, bones, curves) or/and texturing (photoshop+layers).
If you want to join our game development project, please contact me at [email protected]
Or message me.

Of course anyone else who can contribute (coders, modellers) is also very welcome.

Remember, the project is a practice on full scale game development, and sure as hell fun.

This is not about commercial development… YET. but more like sharpening your modelling, texturing, coding, animation, sound skills.

YOu might wanna try this out

If you guys where useing this Rendering engine, I would join your team… to sharpen my skills

Soon they are going to be implementing Displacement/normal mapping on the game charictors…

It is a little more complicated than what you are useing to put everything together and compile… but the engine is quite impressive… check out the demos…

It is compatible with Quake 3-2 maps (second generation quake 3), and has some realy good things happening with the charictor models, as far as hit detection… there is also a Physics engine that is supposed to be compatible with this also…

But like I said before it is somewhat more complicated to compile worlds…

THe demos are for the most part old… look in forums to read about new features… there are some user made demos in forums with some nice codeing and lighting effects…

good luck with your project… Check out Chumbalumb software forums… they are people who make milkshape, there are lots of lo-poly modelers there to inquire…

actually, we are using a very good engine already www.TrueVision3D.com
and its getting better and better.
the guyz are working on it non stop so support for this one is superb.

if u want to join the project, plz contact me. thanks for the advice on chumba…

That does look like a good engine, but I think you’ll find most ZBrush users are specifically looking for a place to practice normal-mapped characters and see those in motion. An engine which supports dynamic tesselation for displacement mapping would be even more compelling, but that might be asking too much.

(without those features, we can already practice game modeling on our own with UnrealEd, and have more control over the destiny of our labors…)

Now, it’s possible normal maps are supported through outside DirectX shaders, but we can’t tell that from the Truevision3D homepage. Nor are they promising to impliment it 'em the next release, near as I can tell.

But, that’s as far as I’m willing to research the issue – it’s your project, after all. If you want to ask around and come back with more information, you might get a few artists excited about working on this.

EDIT:
I’m an idiot. You’ve got normal map generation right there in the 6th screenshot down.

Disregard…

i work a lot with zb to create high res sculpt, form low rzs mesh. is there AN EASY realtime viewer, that don’t need knowledges in programmaion to view it?

Check my gallery!

Hi Sebcesoir !,

there are tools for makeing and viewing normal mapped things  plus a bunch of other goodies also  :+1:
