They are releaseing the Sourcecode for independent developers! so if you are a programmer and need a cool side project, this may be for you!!!
The way it is open source makes so it would be possible to make a desktop shell for windows XP (according to a shell makeing friend of mine on the blackbox for windows team).
It looks like SUN has done all the hard stuff, now all someone has to do is port it… there may be a way to make money from this, or have Great bragging rights for importing the coolest desktop enviornment EVER!
all OpenGL and JAVA :D
so ports to mac OSX or any other system with opengl and java would be a breeze (for someone who knows how to do this)
anyways, thought this would be of intrest… it is the desktop window manager/shell of the future!
