Forced Windows 10 update brakes KeyShot or something....

Nevermind, it’s fixed!
Support is fantastic!

Please post the solution, it may help others who are upgrading to Windows 10.

Ok, but with a warning:
Doing this specifically says:
DON’T DO THIS UNLESS SUPPORT TELLS YOU TO.
You might want to talk to support, just a thought, but they are very good and know what they are telling you to do and can get you out of it if something goes wrong. Remember, Im a total ditz, Support is NOT.

Here is what they told me to do:

  1. Go into the ZBrush 4R7 directory.
  2. Find and run and run “Pixologic Deactivation Manager.exe”.
  3. At the bottom of the window that comes up hit “RESET”.
  4. Run ZBrush.
  5. Turn on and try to use the Bridge.
  6. It will tell you you need to give it its registration/serial number which is available here: https://pixologic.com/my-licenses/login.php I recomend copying it.
  7. Paste that number in and POOF! You are back in business.
  8. Pour yourself a drink.

I could go on a rant about this but I dont have the energy, suffice to say that I will be switching to Linux, ZBrush and KeyShot are the only things I use that need Windows.

Thanks, that’s good info to have.
