For ZuZu

Zuzu,
I bought 1.23 back in March, and even obtained what I thought was a permanent serial number, but for some reason, every month I still have to ask for a new temporary number. Any reason for this? And how can I stop it, if possible.

Brian

I had this problem as well. Are you on a mac by any chance?

The solution if you are on a mac is when you get the permanent serial number, the first time you open the program to load the number in you must have all your extensions set to Mac Base. Go to Apple menu>control panels> extension manager> set to mac base.

You must do this before starting Zbrush and using the new serial number. You only get one go. After the number is accepted you can then go back to your usual extension settings. You can tell if ZBrush has accepted your permanent serial number because you will recieve a “welcome to ZBrush” message. If you don’t get the message you have done something wrong and will need a new one.

Thanks alot for the suggestions, T, but I am on a PC. Pixologic emailed me with a possible explanation, so I think it will be straightened out shortly. In the meantime, I have a new temp-sn that is working fine.

Hey Slosh, I had a similar problem, I bought version 1.23b and one day it stopped working, for no apparent reason. I had to submit for a new temp serial number, then I had to send that number, with a text file to ZUZU for a permanet password. (note to everyone this was after the password fairy stole mine, and I got it back). One more note if daylight savings time happpens again before the new version of Zbrush comes out be prepared to resubmit for a new password.
