Hello, I am experiencing a flying vertex problem when projecting my displacements onto a mesh that I project with Zwrap. With the smooth brush, these are erased to some extent, but some remain and displacement details are also erased. Is there a way to clear flying vertexes? I have been working for three days until I reached this part, but my progress stopped because I encountered this error. This is my first question in the forum, I hope I can get answers to my questions here.
I can’t comment on any issues that might be specific to that plugin. That isn’t ours.
However, in general projection issues like this can occur for reasons like:
Another subtool is factoring into the projection results. So for instance in this situation you don’t want the eye subtool factored into the projection at all. Only the face geometry should be active.
The projection scenario is overly complicated and you’re trying to project too far all at once. Small cavities can be tough because the projection distance may exceed the situation. In those cases there is an incremental subD level by SubD level projection method that may provide more forgiving results, and allow you to correct issues as they start to occur. That procedure is described on the following page:
In the case of “exploded” geometry, there may be an issue with either mesh geometry (check with Geometry> mesh Integrity> Check mesh), or the two meshes may not occupy the same space.
The following video shows some tips on correcting mesh projection artifacts:
