floor orientation

Hey guys,
Here is my dilemma. I started to draw a human shape following the normal direction of a man standing on his feet with reference to the floor. While drawing, I created many subtools and also realized that i prefer an other direction to be the vertical one. I’d like to align the floor to my new vertical direction.
At the moment I’m working with the custom view from the document palette. But i’d like to make it permanent: I could change the orientation of all the subtools, but if I cannot move all them together, it’s not an option. It would be easier to rotate the floor.

Is it possible ? How?
Do you have other better solutions?
Or how can I rotate all the subtools together, not merging them?

I hope I managed to explain what I’d like to do. Thank you very much and merry Christmas

TransPose Master.

You can change the Floor orientation, or add grids for each axis, by clicking on the little X, Y or Z that are inside the Floor button.

thank you both
I used the transposemaster and it worked perflectly, even if I had to reload the tool in a different project, because zbrush was saying “no matching data” originally

about changing the floor orintation, marcus_civis, do you mean in the draw palette? I used that to add grids on the x and y axis, but cannot change the orientation

I simply meant you can change the Floor orientation by changing which axis it was on. You can turn each axis on or off using the X, Y and Z in the Floor button. (Turn the button off to see the letters more clearly!) Obviously this is only a visual thing but perhaps that was all you needed.

oh got it. yep, that was definitely usefull in a previous work. I’ll keep tha in mind. Hopefully this time I didn’t mistake the pose by 90°

If you get the floor oriented in a way you like and want to use that configuration for future projects, you can save that out as a custom UI Preference. This way you don’t have to waste time on setting it up again in the future.

The Timeline is also a good place to save a particular viewing angle and distance.

And it helps a lot to know the front from the bottom  This can help with that.

Lol Doug, between you and Spyndel over the year or so, I start considering you both the zbrush FAQ. I think of you two as FAQ1 & FAQ2
