Hello guys, I’ve been using Zbrush for two weeks now and wanted to post my first design.Haven’t mastered much but still decided to post it. What do you guys think about it?
There are a few anatomy issues in the face, the brow mostly. Hard to tell what else without wireframe.
- The most basic process is to start at a low res and build up your detail in stages.
- Compare it to your reference as you go.
- You can also compare it to the built in models in ZBrush to see how the anatomy flows.
Good news, it’s definitely better than my first attempt. 
These days, Pixologic has so much good training material on ZBrushCentral its going to be easy progress. Good luck!
@Wyatt Thank you very much. TBH I was a bit nervous while posting this design because there’s just so much crazy talented sculptors here. Thanks for the tip. Definitely using it from now henceforth.
I understand, I see so many “My first posts” that belong on the top row I wonder how honest they are lol.
Once you progress through Pixo’s tutorials you may be looking for something to build on that. When I was first struggling with ZBrush I bought a good tutorial series and that made all the difference. If I was to recommend anything today it would be Matt Thorup’s ‘Intro to ZBrush & Character Design’ series.
