File Write Error - Incomplete file write

My MacPro got an error the other day that wouldn’t let the startup pass the login page. So, I’ve just had to reinstall my entire system. Before I repartitioned and reinstalled OSX, I copied the entire hard drive over to an external to bring my files back in after. I’ve copied the applications folder back over and when I open ZBrush, I get the

FILE WRITE ERROR
Incomplete file write.

message. But after I click OK, ZBrush opens and lets me work on the files, even saving them out. I’m assuming that this is a licensing problem, but if I can save files, is it an issue I should worry about fixing or can I just deal with the extra click until 3.5 for Mac comes out?

I think you have a permissions problem. This can lead to unexpected behavior in Zbrush on a Mac.

I am having an error too. I have ZB4. I hit save and watch the intermediate *.ZZZ file start to build. It’s a large file, it tops out at 6,236,569 kbps, but then it is re written to a file of the same name with an extension of .ZPR with a file size of 4,194,305 Kbps. Last week this happened to me the same way it was suppose to be a 5.5GB file but came out 4,194,305 kbps (4.19GB). What could be happening. I can’t shut off my computer till this is saved, the project is still open and if I turn it off I loose 7 hours of work.

What should I do? Don’t want to loose any of the sculpt or poly paint information.
