Fibermesh woes

Hey all
Well started the helmet and wanted to add fur to it as you can see in the image im getting therebut i can not make them stay below the mask and they pop out all sides:cry:, ive gone through loads of diff settings in the modifier panel of fibermesh to no avail.
in the image you can see the mask that im fibermeshing now would it make a diff if only one side of the part is masked ie only front face masked if so how do you do that  as always thanks inadvance

You could try turning on Auto backfacemasking for your mask brush so that it ignores the underlying mesh. It might solve your issue with internal fibers going in the opposite direction. With that said, considering all the fibers are going in a different direction than the ones you want just hide and delete them would be just as easy.
