Fibermesh: same density on different meshes?

I have a little environment with paved areas and grassy areas. I want to use fibermesh for the grass.
The grassy areas are all separate pieces, sort of flowerbeds, and they have different sizes.

I saved the fibermesh preset for the first area, but when I apply it to the other areas the size of the grass and the density are different.
Is there a way to get the same look of grass on different meshes?

Are you using ByArea?

That will adjust your fibers based on the density of your mesh. If you have variations in density you’ll have variation in fibers.

Thank you! No, I’m not using By Area. That setting seems to affect only length and thickness of the fibers, not their number or their distribution. At least that’s the impression I got from my experiments.

And the topology of the grassy areas is rather uniform, all polys have more or less the same size. However, each item has a different number of polys.

hmm. I’ve got nothing then.

In the end I solved the problem by merging all meshes into one piece, growing the grass on it, and then masking out the areas one by one for export. That way I got the same density on all areas.
But thank you nevertheless, you made me aware of the “by area” feature which will definitely come in handy another time
