Fiber Fundas

Well I was going through the practical guide in detail and went through the bamboo scene creation once again… I tried both the fiber brush and the fiber material and also compared it with my own style of using fiber brush with materials for all my illustrations.

Heres a sneak peak of it, I really don’t know it will help the seniors (as they mostly render grasses in other softwares) but it will help the noobs to choose the right options…when painting in zbrush

Heee, I am that rabbit from Holland fishing there
Using other software we cannot usethe 2.5D option like in ZBrush
But your fiberbrush does a great job!!

One of the massive cons of the aa-half ‘hack’ is that it looses a lot of detail when one looks at texture bump and things alike. It does not only remove the jaggies ‘mechanically’ but also detail information. Another way is to use Photoshop for anti aliasing. There are very good anti aliasing filter plugins out there which can help a lot without the attached loss of detail while dropping the image into the shrink cycle of the Z-Machine. I don’t use aa-half any more.

Hey lemo

I forgot resizing the default canvas before I started work on it, I mean my grassy illustration is Ahalf output version… and you can say it has some details

Btw which plugins you use for antialiazing, if I can afford them maybe they will help me out too…

Thanks Bas

But you caught any fishes ?
