- Add something like extrude profile to Zmodeller brush to work on faces and maybe temp polygroups with hotkey to extrude to cursor coordinates on virtual plane facing camera (and/or on world axis) and lining up with face/temp polygroup in order to start from ortho 90 degree angle or greater if desired. Which would be good for extrusions in general. Especially if it intelligently angled the face being extruded to maintain its’ profile. Also snapping to existing mesh features would be good.
1a. Similar functionality may be useful for edge/point extractions as well

Add something like 3dcoat’s new kitbashing feature with the ability to draw on virtual plane (with symmetry options) along axis or facing camera with some way of adjusting depth. Perhaps by clicking on part of existing mesh you’d like to line up with.

Now that you have geometry being stitched together and the knife tool; it would be amazing to add some nurbz to Zmodeller or perhaps a separate Znurbs Modeller Brush.

A method to texture low poly models like painting painting directly on textures and maps. Perhaps PTEX support. For hard surface, Zmodeller would be great to fill polygroups , faces, flat island and all sorts of other modifiers with textures/materials.

Built in Render improvements with support emissive materials which do more than “glow”. Real caustics might be asking too much since you like to keep things cpu based. but some tricks like translucent/partially-transparent image planes might not go amiss. Also , reflections help sell an image where even moderately shiny objects are used.
Anyhow, I really enjoy zbrush. It would be even more amazing if it could live link with 3dcoat, or if the applink was at least maintained. I’m sure that’s on their end, but the two are so complimentary even though I suppose it’s technically a competitor. Keep up the good work guys and thank you for such a great product.
