Feature request

Pixologic, please make Spotlight capable to work with two matching textures at once, color and depth one. Or at least make it possible to replace color texture into depth one being 100% matching each other.

Spotlight gizmo is already super cool and convenient, better than Mari, 3d coat, Substance painter etc projective painting. It’s just the whole idea of using same image for color and depth is very wrong.

Another request . Get rid of material channel and replace it to exportable roughness one please (with PBR materials).

Or make it a choice please.

I get around that by placing all the textures on one layer in PS, then merge and export them as one image file. That means I don’t have to keep switching between them.

I am not sure I understand how it’s a workaround. My problem is not switching , my problem is that I can’t replace one image (color) to depth one being matching perfectly each other. Would work probably with psd layers if Zbrush could read properly layered color 16 or 32 bit psd files and allow to reload it within Spotlight. But it doesn’t.

I love Zbrush Spotlight gizmo. Think it’s better then any special texture painting software capable to offer currently. Imo it makes projective painting more convenient than with Mari (with enough resolution), and much better brushes. Too bad it’s still useless because of this weird limitation.
