Feature request : improve Image plane transforms

Hi there !

I’ve been using image plane and I’d like to suggest a few improvements :

  • make it responsive, like adjust the scale of the image plane and see the result as you change the value of the slider

no more need to select image in textures first, then hit the load button, then see you're not happy with that new size, adjust again and repeat all these steps. Could be more user-friendly

  • allow more transforms like move, and eventually rotate. Same as above, responsive and accessible through the exact same menu

you might want to see your concept aside your central area (where you sculpt), not always behind, because you're not always making a 1/1 sculpt and you want to keep an eye on the design more than anything.

  • allow user to quickly transform the image plane using the gizmo using a shortcut (like the edit mode for example, but dedicated to image plane and that doesn’t send user out of the edit mode).

    Imagine something like :

user holds a key+click on a visible part of the image plane
the app stores the current state of the edit mode check
the app shows the transform gizmo
user can then move, scale, rotate the image plane
once done, user has to click on an “apply” button which validates the new image plane transforms
the app goes back to edit/non-edit mode, depending on what was stored prior to adjusting the image plane

Hope that makes sense (and that’s not a dupplicate request !)

Cheers

Hi @Vexod14 ,

Thank you for the feedback! I’d like to encourage you to submit feature requests to Support with your registered license. We actually don’t use the public forums for tracking feature requests. However, feature requests submitted to Support are actually subject to an automated process that shoots them all the way up to the ZBrush design team directly!

What if multiple users asks for the same feature ? What’s the purpose of this forum then ? I’d like to hear why support simply avoid seeking out for feedback from here where it’s apparently the place to share your experience of ZBrush with others
