Farrah Rogue (short film project)

I’m currently working on a short film, and I’ve decided to push the model a little further with zbrush the original model was sculpted in 3D Coat and retopod in their. I’d have to say so far I love zbrush for hard surface modeling.

I’m having a tiny problem, I guess call it more of a nuisance. At some point when painting the head with poly paint I accidentally painted the material, how does one just delete it so I can just switch the matcaps on the fly?

I believe turning off polypaint should allow you to switch between materials at will. Also you can try clicking M. and do a color->fill object to fill your object with the current material.

Turn ‘Mrgb’ button on. Select ‘Flat Color’ from Standard Materials palette then go to Color menu and click ‘FillObject’. This will reset the material so you can have a live material preview again.

@zber2

Cool style suit! What is your technique for sculpting the individual armor plates?

Thanks! At first I was masking out the plate and using clay tubes and polishing them down. Then I discovered inflat under the deformation tab.

I have a turn Table render and a test pose. I’m using blender to rig/animate and modo for final render.

A frame from the teaser trailer.

I’m still hard at work on the short film, I wanted to show off a finalized shot from the short film.

Good job! Looks like you’re putting a lot of hard work into this.

So the other night I wanted to check out zbrush’s animation feature, so I took a shot that that had animation that was finished and applied it to the Zbrush model. Looks pretty good, I’m actually pretty amazed that Zbrush can handle this.
