Fantasy Creature

Here’s a model that has been inspired by various concepts, both mine and other illustrators.

Great modeling, but it seems now will fall down forward.
At such anatomy, a vertical line is dropped from a seventh neck vertebra will go down in a heel.

This is a really great sculpt. I really like the over all concept. It seems that this character could actually be a functional living being. Your choice of facial design really enhanced the character’s believability. This fella is worthy of being produced as rapid prototype solid model.

Thanks for sharing

This is really sweet those hooks look like the are good for holding large fish. And I agree the face really sales this guy as a character and not an emotionless monster.

Thx for the comments,

R1DD1CK: I see what you are saying, although i could argue that
he has an extra set of abs running the lenghth of his uderside thus
being able to support his posture

here’s a CU of his face:

Very cool! How did you do the jaw whiskers?

Another set of abs would only pull the creature forward more. You’d need more muscles on his back to be able to keep it upright. Perhaps shifting the legs forward a little or adding more defined (or larger) back muscles would fix the posture?

Hello Nick.Y

Very Nice model , it reminds me Huante art …

Weel done !!!

wev3d: spot on, certain parts originated from his drawings.

Siah: aah, i see. Don’t know if I’m going to spend any more time on him
though, lets just call it creative freedom

sshark: done in Max with cylinders, twist and path deform, basically mapped
out splines then deformed the geo along them.
