So here’s my first post on ZbrushCentral. This demonic looking thing is Famine one of the riders of the Apocalypse. I’ve had a strong interest in the Horseman since I was in high school and I’ve done two or three 2D renditions of them. This is the newest design I had for Famine. I’ve been working on him for quite a few months now spradically. I finally put him into Z3 last week and have put about 6 hours into the Upper torso. Evnetually I’d like to make the skin look dry and cracked similiar to caked mud. I want the creature itself to have a dry, desolate feel. I will be adding a large brand on his back in the shape of the zodiac libra. this is to symbolize the balance scales that he carries when he emerges from the third seal. As well, I have modeled for him some armor consisting of leather straps studded with spikes and banded armor that covers a few of the equine portions of the beast. Further ideas that I’ve heard have been to add arameic script detailing the Apocalypse along parts of Famines body and also to add steel horseshoes with spike studs to his hooves, which are cloven… just in case anybody was wondering.
