It looks like your image is not displaying. You need to upload it using the attach file button just below the enter text window. Then you just copy the code into the window.

I followed your other link, though, and the work looks great! If you post the image here more people can enjoy it too :D.

Cheers midost, on the heads up, I atually redid the post directly after this, hopefuly they wont double post it :(. Sorry first time, well changed it anyways. And thanks for the kind words!

looking good so far, keep it up:+1:

Cheers curtis boyo, I appreciate it

:d

Another version of the above fella, the type of fairy he is the Fear Dearg, which would pronounced Far Darrig in english, means red man, fear being man, dearg being red, simple enough eh?

The fear dearg as W.B. Yeats puts it:

“The Fear Dearg…busies himself with practical joking, especially with gruesome joking. This he does, and nothing else”

More renders of him here:

Those are fantastic sculpts, I like the first one especially! :+1:

Cheers eric, very nice of you, really like your drawings and other work

A bit of Bio on fairies for any of those bothered:

Fairies (in Irish sí, pronounced shee), were seen as otherworld inhabitants of the landscape that lived side by side with man, even tho invisible to him. The original Irish word for fairies sí, meant mound and in early irish literature there are various references to creatures living in the tumulti and cairns that dot the irish countryside. The fact that these fairies lived in burial chambers points to them being, perhaps, the living dead living on in their tombs, however, they were also seen as the spiritual community, on a different plane of existence to the human race, they were said to live in a timeless realm from which they could appear at will and to bestow art and skills. Often they appeared to poets or musicians giving to them their skills, when the poet fell asleep by places like a fairy rath (tumulus from ancient earthenwork), a river (often rivers were gods in celtic mythos, danube being an example) or a cairn (ancient burial made from stones). The fact that the stories tell of the person sleeping points to the shamanic rituals in which the dead were honored or called on previously, living on with a bit of poetic flare in later literature. So much so that it was said that if a musician was playing brillantly to compare their music to that found in the otherworld. Right enough blabbing, get on with yer lives ;).

Loving the characterisation you have in all your sculpts shown here so far. They are brimming over with personality and pitch perfect for that Celtic feeling you were after in my opinion. Really looking forward to seeing more. Great stuff.

Thanks nickillus, very much appreciate it! I am glad its not just in my imagination that they have personalities
