Eye Glitch

I have been working on a superman sculpt in 4R2 and one of the most prominent glitches has been with the eyes. I have re-constructed the eyes, restored configs, initialized Zbrush, and restarted the program back and forth to no avail…No matter what, when I make any changes to the default light whether ambience, position, or anything else, the eyes are he only thing that is affected. All other subtools retain the default light settings of .85 intensity, etc…when rendered, but the the eyes are the only location that receives and changes in lighting information…Any ideas?
P.S.- The model is still actually a dynamesh, and is still very much in it’s initial stages, tho I have been saving W.I.P. renders anyway, but I have also been having other material display issues too, so I’m wondering if the source of the apparent lighting issue is really a material issue, but idk…

Try using a Standard Material for all your subtools instead of MatCaps. Light changes are barely noticable on MatCap Materials as they have lighting information already built into them. Lighting changes are most noticable using Standard Materials.

Thank you for the advice…I shall try, but I have ben having all sorts of other issues all material related it seems…I don’t know what to make of it…The sphere that displays materials on the left side panel shows up cut in half, the various materials that are default within the expanded material panel show changes in the color of of the default light, when I mask sometimes, all the polys affected by my first or second stroke show up as super specular, and my wax preview often doesn’t work…it’s definitely troublesome…
