Every time I extract from a masked area I get extra / double geometry underneath the main piece?
Anyway to stop adding extra geometry and just keep the masked area shape selected above? Thank you

Hello @Samsam2020 ,
I can’t really tell what is being extracted from what in your posted image, but if you are referring to the Subtool> Mesh Extract function, “double sided” is enabled by default in that menu. This will produce geometry on both sides of the extract, both above and below the surface. Disable this to only extract geometry above the surface.
Otherwise the direction that geometry is going be be extruded during an extract operation is determined by the normals of the geometry you have masked. Be certain that you dont have any geometry with normals facing another direction masked by accident. If any masked polygons are twisted, it can send the extract off in unintentional directions.
