Export groups as materials

If I export a file consisting of a few subtools merged (with UV), where each subtool has its own UV, and its own material, I end up with one material group. It does have more groups or parts, but only one material. So all UV’s are stacked into one. This happens if I export the merged subtools directly or export all subtools through the subtoolmaster in a single file.
To separate the materials, I have to use another software (Poseray) to turn groups into materials.
Can someone tell me if this can be done directly from ZBrush? And how?

Thanks very much!
