expired installer (resolved)

Hey, I just had to re-boot my computer. (stupid Vista) I went to reinstall Zbrush from the e-mail from cleverbridge but the installer expired. So how do I go about reinstalling? I have no disc.

ok I contacted cleverbridge and they issued me a new install. Now zbrush is installed but I can’t register it because pixologic is telling me I maxed out my registrations. I sent them an deactivation request. Will I be issued a new serial number? I currently have an active copy of zbrush on my laptop. will my deactivation on my desktop pc affect my laptop? why does this have to be so complicated? — resolved - I’m just impatient

Deactivations maintain your current serial number. This actually helps things stay as simple as possible – can you imagine the headaches if you needed a new serial number every time you install ZBrush? Yikes!

In the future, if you know you’re going to be reinstalling Windows (or moving ZBrush to a different machine) simply deactivate ZBrush ahead of time. This is done by using Zplugin>Deactivation>Web Deactivation from within ZBrush itself. That immediately returns the activation to the server so that it no longer counts against your serial number. When you reinstall ZBrush you can then activate right away without needing to go through Support.

However, if you forget to do that or if you’re unable to due to system failure we do have the alternate deactivation method that you just used successfully. While you do need to wait for Support to fix the serial number for you, we put those requests at the top of our priority queue. This means that during business hours you rarely have to wait more than an hour for someone to take care of it for you.

We do try to help! And as you saw, it doesn’t take very long.

Happy ZBrushing!

See the problem is you’ve essentially created an addictive drug with this program. I can’t go very long without using it. If I do, bad things start happening.
