An Introduction to the Standby…Art Gallery
The Standby…Art Gallery aims to provide an innovative forum for digital and traditional art, presenting work by largely unseen artists or by established artists whose work has been rarely or never been exhibited.

The audience for exhibitions of digital art has increased widely during the last Five years as general awareness and interest in digital media has developed in Britain.
Many artists showing at The Standby…Art Gallery are unknown when first exhibited, not only to the general public but also to the commercial art world. Our intention is that many of these artists are subsequently offered shows by galleries and museums internationally. In this effect, the gallery also operates as a springboard for young artists to launch their careers
What makes us different from every other gallery
Alongside the display of traditional artwork, our use of high definition monitors, allow our exhibition content to rotate constantly, allowing a previously unimaginable variety and volume of work to be displayed.
Using digital technology allows us to display art in entirely new and exciting ways, for example:
Photography and art work can be displayed seconds after being taken or created.
Gallery visitors can watch artworks take form as the painter works from anywhere in the world. The viewer can stand for the first time, in front of the “canvas” as the work is created.
3D digital sculptures that have never existed before in the real world will be built and displayed in our gallery.
